Connections
From Clipart-Library.com
I’ve been displaying my books at a few local fairs this year. Now that I have published a few novels, I have enough to be able to do so.
Having a stall at markets and fairs is a good way of marketing my books. Not only that, but it’s also a great way to meet people and connect with other artists.
Sometimes, I make a connection with someone. This is what happened during my most recent effort. I met a lady who talked with me for a long time. For some reason, I felt a connection with her. For me, that is something that is rather rare. I tend to be rather shy and not very social. Unless a topic of conversation involves something I either know a lot about, or I am passionate about.
I’ve only made a few of those connections in my life. Some of them are with ladies who I now consider very dear friends. And others I’ve met online who I also feel that sense of connection with.
Many of us have social media accounts. But, let’s be honest, how many of those on our friends list would be there for us in an instant if we needed them? I choose to keep only those on my friends list who are either family or are people that I know value our relationship.
If there is one thing the events of the past year have taught us, it’s that these connections are even more important than ever.
